SaunaBox Pulse PRO vs Nurecover SaunaPro

Before you save £349 on a sauna tent, look at what heats it.

The Nurecover SaunaPro runs on one carbon ceramic heater and a 660nm light strip. The Pulse PRO builds 6 ThermoCell infrared panels and 320 red and near-infrared LEDs into the tent itself.

  • 6 ThermoCell infrared panels
  • 320 LEDs, 660-850nm, built in
  • PFAS-free tested fabric

1-Year Limited Warranty · 30-day return guarantee · May be eligible for HSA/FSA through TrueMed

SaunaBox Pulse PRO portable infrared sauna next to a Nurecover SaunaPro portable sauna

The short answer

If the lowest price is the whole decision, the Nurecover SaunaPro costs £349 less. If you want the heat and the light built into the tent, the Pulse PRO is the better buy: 6 ThermoCell infrared panels instead of one heater, and 320 built-in 660-850nm LEDs instead of a battery-powered 660nm strip, in an OEKO-TEX certified cover with independently tested PFAS-free fabric.

What does the extra £349 buy?

The SaunaPro costs less, and that is a real point in its favour. So the fair question is what the Pulse PRO puts inside the tent for the difference.

Nurecover's spec sheet lists one heater: a single ThermaCore carbon ceramic unit delivering dry heat. The Pulse PRO builds 6 ThermoCell infrared panels into the tent itself.

Nurecover does publish the higher top number, up to 185°F. The Pulse PRO reaches about 160°F, depending on your room. If a bigger number on the display is the only goal, that is their win.

One heater, or six infrared panels built into the walls.

What changes when the red light is built in?

Both tents include red light, and the details are where they split.

The SaunaPro ships with a LumaCore 660nm light strip. Nurecover's own page says the batteries are not included and the battery pack must stay outside the sauna during use.

The Pulse PRO has an integrated 660nm-850nm panel with 320 LEDs. Two wavelengths, red and near-infrared, part of the tent from the first session. No batteries to buy, nothing to set up separately.

What is the tent actually made of?

You sit inside this fabric, sweating, for 20 minutes or more. What it is made of is worth a look.

The Pulse PRO uses an OEKO-TEX certified insulated cover, and its fabric is independently tested PFAS-free. The panels are ultra-low EMF, verified by Intertek to IEC 62233, with a MylarMax heat-reflective lining.

Nurecover lists a 100% cotton chamber with 5 layers of insulation and ETL, RoHS and REACH certifications. Its SaunaPro page does not publish OEKO-TEX certification or PFAS testing.

The Pulse PRO also ships with the SweatLock floor mat, a carrying case and a Bluetooth controller in the box, on a 36" x 36" footprint that fits users up to 7 feet 1 inch.
