How does infrared differ from traditional sauna heat?

Traditional saunas work by heating the surrounding air, which then warms your body indirectly. In contrast, our infrared sauna uses infrared heating panels to emit radiant heat that directly penetrates the skin and underlying tissues, raising your core temperature more efficiently.

This form of radiant heat operates at lower ambient temperatures (typically 110–158°F vs. 170–200°F in traditional saunas), which can enhance circulatory, thermoregulatory, and cellular responses with less cardiovascular strain.

Infrared heat is often categorized into near (NIR), mid (MIR), and far-infrared (FIR), each with unique tissue penetration depths and physiological effects—such as stimulating mitochondrial activity, supporting detoxification, or improving skin elasticity and circulation.

How hot does it get?

Up to 160°F of deep, dry infrared heat.

Unlike most portable infrared saunas that max out around 130°F, the PULSE is engineered with ThermoCell™ heating panels to reach temperatures up to 160°F. This higher heat level delivers a more intense sweat, deeper detox, and greater cardiovascular activation—bringing pro-level recovery home.

How much will it cost in electricity?

Each session costs less than $0.11 in electricity.

The PULSE runs on standard 110V power and uses only 1500W—making it incredibly energy efficient. A typical 40-minute session consumes less energy than your hair dryer or coffee maker, costing under $0.11 per use in most U.S. regions.

Does it require an electrician?

No electrician required. The Pulse is designed for effortless, plug-and-play operation—simply plug it into a standard household outlet and you’re ready to go. No special wiring or installation needed.

Every Solara begins with wood, so restoration should be part of the story. That's why we partner with veritree to fund one verified tree for every Solara sauna sold.
